How do I turn my dog around on a walk when there are other dogs, with out looking like a looser?
My dog is a Golden Retriever. They are sposed to be really loyal dogs. He is pretty much bred that way. But when he is on a leash he still is loyal. But he always reacts badly when he sees black dogs small or big(definitley big) . Ive had dogs before I had a small Bichon Frise which was white. But on walks he only reacts when they bark at him aggresivley. Whenever dogs bark at him he pulls away from me making me chase after him. He only sniffs the dogs never growls at them. Hes been bitten a couple of times by boarder collies. I have a harness on him and a leather leash thats wrapped around my hand. I also say No sternly when reacts to the dogs. I walk away to. But I want to turn around when i see a dog ahead of time. But i dont want to look like a loser either! Iike im scared of other dogs. Please come up with a good one!!!! 
How about enrolling your dog in some further socialisation and obedience classes? I can’t understand from your question whether he’s only aggressive if barked at or only aggressive to black dogs or only aggressive to big dogs, but whatever the problem the two of you would certainly benefit from some professional assistance to tackle problem behaviour. Pulling away from you so that you need to chase him is unacceptable and potentially dangerous.
Why do you think it would make you look like a ‘loser’ to remove yourself and your dog from a potentially risky situation? If you know your dog can’t currently be reliable in social situations, and aren’t willing to chance going near other potentially aggressive dogs, then simply take less trodden routes and about-face the moment your dog starts tugging at the leash to get to another dog.
